Back in January, my daughter in law Ashley and I, went to California to meet our newest family member and love up on the little family. While there we attended church and I was introduced to a new song to me. We sang along with the worship team and congregation for a good ten minutes. The words touched my soul and I couldn’t wait to get home and introduce it to my church family here.
By the time we returned home, the Christian radio stations were playing at least three different arrangements of the song. The group Leeland, Mandisa and Michael W. Smith, all currently have their renditions of this song on the airwaves. I learned that the song was written by a Nigerian worship leader named Sinach. You can find her amazing rendition of her song all over the internet.
They are calling these uncertain times. Think about it, is there ever not an uncertain time? Fear and anxiety are welling up in mankind. The bible tells us to come to God for our daily bread. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, however, we are guaranteed a Hope for a new tomorrow. I put my trust in the God who knows tomorrow. My faith tells me that there is only one certainty in life and that is my God. The chorus of this beautiful song by Sinach, states just who God is. My prayer is that this statement of who God is not only encourages you but fills you with a strength and purpose that casts out fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind.
